There was an update recently received for The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection to remove SecuRom from the game and help improve compatibility with Windows 10.
Be aware though, that after applying the update, all settings will be restored to the default ones, and screen resolution will go back to 800x600. You will have to repeat the steps to change the screen resolution as mentioned in this article and enter your game for final tuning.
