In February 2015, The Sims was celebrating 15 years of plumbobs, WooHoo and other fan stuff. If you are following @TheSims on Twitter or The Sims page on Facebook, you must have seen a good deal of Fun Facts posts and learned a bunch of cool stories about the history of The Sims. Here below just a few:
- The first item ever created in The Sims? A toilet.
- Simoleons? They got their name from the 18th century British slang for sixpence: simons.
- Definition of the plumbob? ""A plumb-bob or a plummet is a weight, usually with a pointed tip on the bottom, that is suspended from a string and used as a vertical reference line, or plumb-line. It is essentially the vertical equivalent of a "water level"".
- In The Sims, you could have a baby as a result of kissing someone.
- In The Sims, Claire the Bear was an actual bear that would steal from your picnic basket or dig in your trash.
